Went here for the first time last night with my cousin Taylor who knew about the Chef’s tasting. The food was delicious is an understatement. The pairings of ingredients in each course was expert and mind blowing. Sit this gorgeous meal in an unpretentious unassuming and cozy interior with staff who are just as welcoming and warm - it’s a home run. My cousin did say the Chef’s table should be booked in advance and she let us know it was cash only so we came prepared. Well WELL worth it!

First time here and what a meal! We started with the fero which was delicious! The ravioli special was my favorite! We had the lasagna and the beef with polenta that was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was excellent and the service through our meal was above the line! Very cozy place. Atmosphere is so comfortable. Looking forward to going back. Make it a point to get there if you have never gone.

Everything you could ever want in a restaurant experience. Charming location and historic location and building in Miller Place. We were seated immediately followed by some of the best bread ever - warm of course. We were able to bring our own wine and ordered apps and entrees at same time. I loved that we could order a half portion of any pasta as pictured. The squid ink pasta was off the hook great , my wife’s frito misto over garlic aioli was to die for. Service was perfect with each wait staff member working in perfect harmony dressed in blue jeans and black shirt (nice look). Entrees we’re out of this world - Lasagna Bolognese was incredibly tasty yet not heavy. Duo sucking pig , Sunchoke , roasted cippolini onion , smoked mustard jus (yes that’s one dish) was so unique and amazing. Seating and atmosphere was fantastic. Full bar with some high top 2 seaters nearby. Drawbacks as I see it. Orto doesn’t accept credit or debit cards! Kind of annoying in 2023, no reason not to. Also had to order entree at same time as appetizer. One of the sets of good eating is a changing palette based on the course before, this is not possible with their policy. That being said from their perspective it creates faster turnover and I have to admit , dining in under an hour for this quality meal was delightful. Entire meal with tax , $94. We will be back often and Orto has shot up to our top 3 picks for suffolk county. Bravo!
